Credit balance and validity

Credits bought by or granted to the institution — AI, email or WhatsApp packs — become a balance: an amount, an origin and a validity date.

The order of use

1. First the plan's monthly allowance — it expires at the end of the month anyway.
2. Then the balances, from the one that expires first to the one that expires last.

That way nothing that could have been used is lost before its time.

When the balance is deducted

During the month, usage above the monthly allowance is counted; each balance is deducted at the monthly close. The "Out this month" column shows how much current usage will already take from each balance.

Validity

A balance is valid until the end of the month shown — never in the middle of a month. We notify whoever handles billing 30 days before a relevant balance expires.

After that date, the balance expires. The expiration is recorded: the grant is not deleted, and the history keeps explaining why the balance is what it is.

Origins

• Purchase and contract — paid credit.
• Courtesy — granted by our team, for example to make up for a problem; it comes with the reason recorded.
• Promotion — granted in a campaign.
