Institution time zone
The time zone is your institution's clock inside the platform. Everything that depends on a day or a month uses this clock:
- deadlines for case handling and validation — a "03/20" deadline ends at 11:59 pm on 03/20;
- the time automatic dispatches go out — the dropout survey goes out at 9 am on the next business day;
- the validity of registries, goals, absences and merit cycles — "until 06/30" covers the whole 30th;
- report periods — a response sent at 10 pm on 03/31 counts in March;
- the quota month and credits.
Dates are also shown in this clock to the whole team, wherever they are. Anyone in another time zone sees the time with the zone shown next to it.
Who can change it
Changing the time zone requires reach over the whole institution, and the change is recorded in the audit trail.
What changes when you switch
New reports, filters and deadlines use the new time zone. What was already computed does not change:
- deadlines already set keep the time they were set to;
- usage from months already counted stays in the month it was counted;
- reports already issued keep stating the time zone they were issued in.
Networks across time zones
There is one time zone per institution. A network with units in different time zones sees days in the clock chosen here — usually the head office's.
