Segment template
The segment template fills in at once what an institution in your segment usually has: the structure levels (region, unit, sector), the registries (teachers, courses, areas), the breakdown fields and the roles.
The reference process
The educational institution template also brings the satisfaction process the sector already uses, ready for you to adjust:
- the complaint attributes (lecturer, teaching staff, classmates, facilities, internet, systems), with no one set to validate each — until you declare it, validation falls to the default owner of the step;
- the reference case-handling flow, which becomes the default flow only if the institution does not have one yet;
- the Course satisfaction survey, with the survey sheet filled in and case handling switched on for scores from 0 to 6;
- the dispatch rules by workload band.
None of it reaches anyone on its own: the survey is created inactive and without a program (until it gets a program, only people who reach the whole institution see it) and the rules are created switched off. The rule percentages are a suggestion — adjust them to your calendar, check each rule's preview and only then switch them on.
Applying the process requires the case-handling, survey and invitation-dispatch permissions and reach over the whole institution. Without them, applying installs only the vocabulary.
You see it before applying
The preview lists each item with what will happen to it:
- will be created;
- already exists — nothing changes;
- will not be recreated — you removed it before, and the removal is respected;
- blocked — it depends on something that does not exist and will not be created (a registry, the survey of a rule), requires permissions you do not have or would go over the plan's survey limit.
When the template gets a new version, the preview tells you how many new items are not in your institution yet.
Applying again does not duplicate
Applying the template more than once is safe: what already exists is not duplicated, and what you removed does not come back.
What you can change later
Everything the template created in the structure, registries and fields is yours: it can be edited or removed.
Roles are the exception. They come from the platform catalog and are maintained by it — that is how a fix to a role reaches every institution. For a different role, create your own role based on it.
